A historical county along the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Lunenburg County includes the towns of Bridgewater, Lunenburg & Mahone Bay. Named for the British king who was also the Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, it was established in 1759. It has a population of roughly 50 000 people.
