Here is a list of great places that I have stayed that are within a short distance to good trails, and outdoor experiences. |
|
Great cottages along the water of Hubbards Cove. Kayak and Bike rentals available. A wooded trail extends down the coastline. |

Nova Scotia`s great outdoors at its best. Offering comfy cottages in a great location. They focus on the outdoor experience and even include geocaching! |
|
Imagine having an entire island to yourself, with your own house to come back to after a day of exploring. I`ve had a family member refer to it as ``the Galapagos of the North Atlantic``. The very definition of Eco Tourism. |

Two modern cottages and a farm house with an ocean inlet view. Peacocks roam the nearby fields, as well as deer an other wildlife. Very eco-friendly run places, with bright and fresh décor. If you’re looking for a great cottage near Mahone Bay or Lunenburg, this is a great option. |

Keji has tons of great campsites as well as a few cabins available for rent. They have what is perhaps the province’s greatest back-country sites that can be some great multi-day treks. There are a few very basic cabins available in the back country areas as well. I stayed in the “Fire Tower cabin”, it was great for a quick, cheap getaway from civilization, but not the greatest spot to show off what the park has to offer. |

Harrington House is an elegant bed and breakfast that sits on a beautiful property in Bridgetown. The owners have created a beautiful, welcoming B&B that was a real pleasure to visit. Lots of hiking trails (ask the locals) nearby. |
