The Purcell's Cove Backlands. Halifax, Nova Scotia

A January hike to "Piggy Mountain" in the Purcell's Cove Backlands. Halifax, Nova Scotia. The area was devastated by fire in 2009 but has quickly sprouted new growth. The granite outcrop known as "Piggy Mountain" is the highest point in the area and gives views from Halifax Harbour to the Atlantic Ocean.
