Hiking Halifax, Nova Scotia's Backlands - January 2018

A break in the "Polar Vortex" brought temperatures up to a reasonable level for a couple of days so I headed out to fly my new drone (https://shop.halifaxtrails.ca/product/drone-dji-spark/) in one of my favourite exploration destinations in Halifax. The Purcell's Cove Backlands are a unique granite barren landscape that makes for an other-wordly vibe. It's a very popular spot with mountain bikers and it's easy to see why.
